I have just replaced mine with idruim ik20's which is like 7's i think, when at low rpm my car black smokes badd! is that the cause?

What heat range of spark plugs shud i use ? for the 2jzge

right haha. Those plugs are probably too cold for na! I have the IK22 and runs great even though I'm pushing 300whp. Do they have IK18's? LOL

i have no clue... I just called a fren of mine who is runnin the 1jzgte TT and he is using 6's... do you think a heat range of 6 is still too cold?? or good enuff..


My car is black smoking when i start up and when idling. after my revs increase the smoke stops, cuz they are racing plugs for high rpms

6 will run but 5 is best for NA

thats not your problem then mate, when i bought my car it was running 6s and it was fine for a year. i changed to 5s later and they ran a bit cleaner and a little more power, but not a huge difference.

if the smoking started after you changed plugs i would guess that something got moved during the plug swap. check your PCV system (lines/valve etc) and see that it is running ok. also check hte vac lines that come off the intake manifold.
