Civic Hatchback LS-VTEC + Nitrious VS me??

Hey everyone

As some of you know, I recently went NA-T, and shes pulls like a beauty. But the thing is, some rice boys at a local meet told me that their team civic can take on my SC.

I told them that I would pass. But they told me the opportunity will be available.

I was wondering if I would take the civic in the 1/4 mile?

His mods: (5 Speed)
Civic stripped to shit
LS-VTEC B18
"Custom" Cold Air Intake
Zex Nitrous (not sure what shot)
And alot of other rice mods
His transmission is race built, so he has no overdrive gears or something....

And before you guys go "why did you even make this thread? are you an idiot?" he recently raced against a modified LS1 and spanked him by 3 carlengths.

if your running 8psi id say throw some race gas and bump it up to 10psi just on the safe side but come on this is a civic here. lets put it this way.... if he doesnt have a built bottom end the biggest shot he could spray is a 75 and he will still be blowing a small amount of oil by the rings. my buddy has a gsr integra spraying a fogger plate 75 shot with a decent amount of other mods and its slow as balls he barely managed to tie an evo with intake and exhaust(didnt even have a boost controller) so unless he is built and spraying a pretty decent shot then im confident you will take him on the high way atleast in the 1/4 depends on who is sporting what tires and who can drive. hes got the lighter car remember that
and its a civic no torque my friend




EDIT: oh and btw i took a so called "factory freak" ls1 camaro that had exhaust and a hypertech controller on my old set up on 8psi

Yea, i would put some race gas in there and hit 10psi or maybe 12.. depends on your trans how much boost it can hold. But i would race him just to see what your car can do ya know? its up to you wether or not you want to race him but good luck with everything.

btw what are your numbers?? on 8psi?

At .6 bar I got 383 RWHP and 427 RWT. The problem im having right now is major traction issues. But after 2/3 gear I hook.

Im using a TT headgasket btw, so my CR is about 1:9.2

toss some race gas like champazn and jaxsc3 run the boost up to 12 psi max and spank the dookey doo out of that shitic.

A basic untuned LSVTEC is good for around 150whp, add 75 for nitrous. If he's pushing any more than that, he's pushing his luck. The "race built" trans is BS, too. You shouldn't have any problems as long as you can launch your car ok.

you have to remember though, if thats an eg its light as shit AND he's stripped. you've got almost a ton on him. he may not have nearly the hp, but its all about the power to weight.
