I was just wondering the differences in the engines. I was thinking alon the lines of maybe cams, pistons ect. No one really clarified the preference of the supra over the aristo if any. thanks.

um cams, turbos, injectors, harness, ecu etc theres more im sureThis is the case when comparing a US motor to a JDM motor, but really has no relevance if he is just wondering if he can use a JDM Aristo engine for a swap. If you are going to put it in a Supra or SC300 I know the oil pans have to be changed, and I'm almost positive something with the engine harness is different. I'd advise getting Phil's 2JZ-GTE swap manual.

just the oil pan and water pump from what i hear.
but the real question is...how do you visually see if the 2JZ is an aristo or supra? seller could easily lie and say its a supra 2JZ
