I have a friend who needs to install a serpentine belt on his IS. He's looked on the forums (supraforums, my.is, blah blah blah). He would also like one with some illustrations to make the process a bit easier. Anyone know how and got pics for a serpentine install?

1. disconnect negative battery terminal
2. drain radiator
3. remove upper radiator hose
4. remove radiator fan shroud
5. grab 14 mm wrench and turn counter clockwise on tensioner and remove belt
7. add chainguard on all pully bearings
8. grab 14 mm wrench and turn counterclockwise on tensioner and place new belt.
0. return everything as you lef it.
10. apply belt dressing

Enjoy and wash up

no need to drain the radiator or remove the hose on the IS300..

I replaced my serpentine belt with my friend back during the summer, took all but 5 min to take the stock one off and replace...

you can do it without removing anything.

just snake the belt around the fan

I was actually replacing a power steering pump on my sc300 and that requires a few things to be unbolted. So al i did was recall the basic steps.

SO. Kiss my arse :madfawk:
Oh well i went about it the way the damn LSRM presents the instructions to do it.
