help with injectors high or low independence

ok i know that the tt supra and the na supra use different independence injectors. what i have is a 1996 na-t supra. with aem ecu i will be wireing up the na harness to run the 2jzgte motor with coil packs. so my question is will i need high or low indepence injectors?


i will be useing a gt4088r turbo so i think i will need around 1000cc?

Im 99% sure the USDM 550cc injectors are side feed LOW impedence units.

Is your AEM selectable between low and high impedence injectors?

not sure if the aem is slectable. but i have the hks fuel rail and will be getting some kind of top feed injectors. just not sure if i should get high or low impedence

Your stock 2jzge harness is wired for high imp injectors (saturation) you will need to wire in a resistor on the power side if the injectors for the low inp (peak and hold) type injectors. The MK4 550's are low imp. You can run larger CC high imp injectors too. There is great info on tuning as well as injectors, It just takes a bit if time.......to find it.

Size the injectors to match your hp goals (ethanol (E85) uses more per hp btw) pump gas has its limits too.
