man, it's been 2 days since the start of my 1JZ swap, and i'm still prepping the GE for removal. and man, in 2 days, i can already see how much different this is compared to pulling an engine on an 01 car. i had an 01 galant before this, and everything was cake. this 93 though....man..... i'm breaking everything, haha. if its plastic, its gonna crack when i remove it. i think the plastic clips and stuff are gonna nickle and dime me more than the swap is, haha. just a vent, back to the garage.

well for one, its 8 degrees here and i'm using a space heater i'd use in a bathroom. so, everything is really cold and brittle. Before i realized how the washer lines were ran, i was a noob and removed half the hood, cloth, stuff, and cracked every clip on those, lol. then, i cracked every clip holding the wiper cowel and rubber seal down. its pretty much plastic stuff. i haven't had any trouble with bolts, those are fine. so, its gonna be a nice bag of clips and crap from lexus, lol. but, hoods off, motor is just sitting in the engine bay, nothings connected to it, so, i just hafta find the second hook, and a way to loosen the motor mounts and i'll be ready to pull it.
