vvti short block?

hey guys I just bought a ge vvti long block and I was wondering, because my car is not vvti would I still be able to but my head onto the short block? or is there a difference in the 2 2jz short blocks?

mine is a 94 ge supra

and I bought a 2002 is300 long block
