I am on the verge of finishing up my car, i fired it up a couple of times, car idled prety steady, dies sometimes, but other then that just kind smoky out of the exhaust, i cant get the Throtle signal to show on the SAFCII , but i connected the wire, would that be needed to tune the car? and use the SAFCII? also, what should i pull on the SAFCII to get in the ball park of having the car safe to drive to the dyno tune? like i said 550cc's safcii and stock maf on the t61 bl turbo, thanks

Just because its barely idling doesnt mean its running fine. You're washing the cylinder walls with fuel. No one said you couldnt get the car to crank with 550s and stock AFM, its just that you wont be able to tune it. Running super rich is almost as bad as running super lean. You'd honestly be better off with the stock injectors in the car until you have a better method of controlling the fuel. If smoke is even visible then its WAY too much fuel

Someone told me the TT MAF would work the other day, and I didn't believe them. Was almost certain it wouldn't.

On OBDII NA's yes. I had it running on my car for a while before I went VPC. I never actually dyno tuned on it though.
Ah, alright.. makes sense now. :dancingco

Sorry to hi-jack the thread. For the VPCs, what items do I need to get it to work? if I have just the VPC unit itself, nothing else, no harness, no temp or pressure sensors.

You can't just use generic GM sensors like with my old Haltech?

the throtle signal does work it doesnt show it till it is correting you might not have it set on correction yet i was working on my friends 300zx with an AFCII and it doesnt show his signal untill i set it on correction. but you have different injectors so im nto for sure what to do about that.
