My friend has the 7m-gte head, will that fit the lexus sc300 block?
I'm new to this car, I know it maybe a dumb question.

get a 1jz head or 2jzgte head

I thought the 2jzgte head wouldnt fit the ge block b/c the oil passages are diff. i could be wrong tho.

wrong 2jz-gte head is a bolt on to the 2jz-ge block its just the intake and exhaust wont bolt up.

I can vouch for the fact that the 2JZ-GE head will fit on the 1JZ-GTE :).

What passages are you talking about, I have never heard of any passage problems.

Yes, the 2jzgte head will bolt up to the 2jzge block, but unfortunately the passages are different, so it will not work.

Umm... the head passages are the SAME. There are several people that have done the GTE head swap on their GEs and have NO PROBLEMS. There is a sticky on supraforums in the NA section that details this exact swap.
