hey you guys, i need help fast, i just bought my aem from a memeber on supraforums, i installed it on my car, and i need to know what to do, the car starts but runs really rich and out of tune, its not drivevable, he sent me a base map for my larger injectors, i have the 525cc's, so i can get it to driving condition, but when i connect the ecu to m ycar it says that its offline, also, where do i put the MAP BAR sensor and the AIR INTAKE TEMP sensor, dave h gave me the wiring part, i just need to konw where to physicaly put them and can i tune my car w/out them and then install them later w/out having to re-tune? thanks for the help guys.

map sensor you can just mount onto the firewall or wherever and run a vacuum line from the intake mani into it and the air temp sensor i'd mount in the piping before the throttle body.

how do u guys mount the IAT sens? i was lookin at it and the piping looks wayyyyy too thin to drill and tap it for the sensor, i was thinkin bout mounting it in the throtlebody itself right before the throttle plate

You can have a threaded bung welded onto your IC pipe. The IC piping is the best location for the sensor. Putting your sensor on the throttle body will give you problems with heatsoak.
From my own experience....It will make a difference.

thanks for the advise bro, the reason i was gona put it there was b/c it seemed like i could just drill and tap that location, if thats gona cause a problem im just gona see if i can weld a threaded bung on there, does it have to be aluminum? or can it be just any metal welded to my aluminum IC piping?

I also drilled and tapped a spot right after the Y-split on the intake runners. I did get the heat-soak problem. I switched to the ic piping location away from any major heat sources. My a/f's are rock steady now.
If you are going the weld on bung route...You will have to use aluminum. you can only weld aluminum to aluminum. For reference, you can weld steel and stainless or iron.
You could also drill and tap your ic pipe, though it is thin. You could re-enforce the connection with JB Weld or metal epoxy once you have you desired location. It will work great in a pinch or lack of a welder.
Good Luck.

iight guys thanks, i got that sensor wired, the problem now is the map bar sensor, where do i connec tthe wires? dave h gave me a diagram he used, but in his diagram he has a black, yellow, and red wires coming out, i have a black, red and green, and also, his diagram tells me to run the yelllow wire(which i dont ahve) to the B62 terminal of the ecu, that terminal doesnt have a wire coming from it, where do i wire this into? thanks

here is the diagram he gave me::

Match black and black, red and red and the other color on both are your signal grounds. I don't know if thats what youre asking but that should be a pretty accurate guess.

Do you have a green wire maybe instead of a yellow wire? Also You may have to wire that pin on the ecu.
