I've had my car since June 19th and loved driving it. I was on my way to work yesterday and blew my first tranny. Currently going through withdraws till I find a replacement.
Just out of curiousity, anyone live near Rockhill? I'll be going to Winthrop and was just curious if anyone might wanna get together and show off their cars. I won't have The Beast, even if it is in working order, but still would be interested in car talk.

Sorry about the trans. Same thing happened to me over a month ago, and I'm still waiting on my BL trans.

You've been waiting a month?!?!? That sucks, I hope I can get mine fixed sooner than that. I have a tranny in my floor, just not sure what condition it's in.

Well, they had a core and had it built inside of 2 weeks, but for some reason didn't have a correct input shaft. After waiting several more weeks for that, I finally pulled mine and sent it to them. They swapped in my input shaft and sent it back Monday...I'm still waiting. They were good to me over the phone and (although I've been needing the car) I have no complaints as long as the trans lives up to its expectations.

Is it a built trany, or just a regular one that you found to replace the one that was broken? I have another tranny in my floor, don't know what kind of condition it is in though.

It was a stock core they started with.

You had the auto break on you? How much power were you pushing?

Not sure if this is directed at me or Protogy, but I'm currently 374whp@15psi. Stock Auto, no external cooler, no lock-up. While waiting for the Boost Logic Trans I've installed dual B&M's w/SPAL fans, added a Trans Temp gauge, and wired up/configured my lock-up (EMS). I also set up timing retard between shifts (although until datalogs show better results than with the last trans, that may be deactivated), and restalled the stock converter.

Mine had the stock manual in it. I run 19.5 psi@ 525 rwhp. If I knew crap about manuals I'd look into maybe a built tranny, but since this is my first manual not sure how it's ganna go. Especially with a new semester starting.

I don't know if there's any reasonable way to strengthen the stock W58.

The 5 speed W58 is going to keep breaking into you upgrade to the 6 speed.

Blah, 6 speed makes first gear even more worthless than it already is. Also I'm ganna agree that 6000 for a gearset isn't reasonable
