Sale: $415 Catback, $495 Turbo back (DP for STOCK TWINS) - SHIPPED

LIMITED QTY In stock now

Take a look at these polished stainless cat-back exhausts, compare to TRD GEN2. These are a virtually straight exhaust, very low restriction, modeled directly from the flow path of the TRD GEN2. Nice low rumble at idle, and a great sound when you get on the gas. CNC mandrel bent, Robot welded. Lifetime warranty. Hardware and gaskets are included. These are custom made for me by Motoria in Korea. Motoria is the OEM supplier for Cusco, Subaru and others..... you will not be disappointed with the quality! The look is subtle, not rice!

These are now available as a full TURBO BACK - and include a polished stainless 3" downpipe for direct bolt on to the stock TT turbos. The DP is also perfect for modifying for the T61 turbo kit to delete the stock cats.

How does it sound?

Do you have any sound clips?videos?

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? I think it sounds great, but you will have to get an unbiased opionion from someone else when they install it on their car. It has a nice mean but subtle idle, and when you get on the gas it's a good sound. I love the sound of it in tunnels and under bridges, on the highway it's pretty sedate.

Try one..... ;)

what with the cock rings for the hangers? It fits the SC300 but requires you get a universal hanger from autozone for the rear and thats about it.

The cockrings are what the stock TRD GEN2 has on them and that's also what the OEM exhaust has on it. I did mention this is for the supra, so install on the SC300 at your own peril - Amir, you're a madman!

if you are thinking of modifying this to fit an SC300 this is what needs to be done

Hammer the spare tire wheel well a little bit
You need to exted the exhaust just a little bit a better way to do this is to get a megan racing down pipe and change the 3" bolt football flange to fit your downpipe or fit your stock precat. You may need to fix the hangers a bit to make sure it fits perfectly.

thats about it.

Amir, I did not know that you could adapt this to a SC300, that is good to know. Is it possible to tuck it up a little higher, it appears it's a little low..... I know the original hangers had it tucked up higher on the supra, but on the SC300 all bets are off, since this is uncharted territory. What do you think of the quality assuming you were putting it on a Supra?

Great work Amir, hope the hand heals up quick, that was a tough break.

Nice work Kirk  . Any chance we could get a SC300 Dual exhaust bolt on? :)

98mkiv
08-16-2006, 12:42 AM
I'd like to say yes, but I don't see it happening in the near future. Competition from HKS/Greddy/etc is too tight. They are lowering their prices in response to competition. Exhausts that they used to sell for $1000 are now $600. So coming into the game with a $350 exhaust is good for the Supra market, but the SC300 has too many choices. If you have ideas, I'm all ears.

soarerflame

In all honesty the SC market has none. Mosltly custom setups that look like crap and sound like freight trains. So I would definately recommend a dual setup for the SC.

It's something XSPower has been rolling around for a while, it may happen at some point. Right now, it's not something that has high a priority as other projects I have.

I wasn't aware HKS/Greddy were selling dual exhausts for the Lexus SC300's for $600. Link? Yes, I do have some ideas for cheaper SS exhausts for the SC300 we can discuss on AIM :dancingco .

I could, but the shipping would be quite expensive, I can see what the cost is.

If you order tuesday, you should have it by next wednesday with standard shipping, but to have it by the weekend will be pricey. PM me or email me your full address and phone number and I will get you a qoute.

I love everything about mine, I am pretty much the only chearleader on supraforums....no one else will try it.

However, I would substitute the OE Toyota Rear rubber hangers for whatever is on there now. One of mine snapped from rubbing on the metal hook it attatches to. The OEM units are alot more durable, but cannot be fit under the hanger arm on the muffler without bending it.

There are a lot of these out there, but they just don't pop up very often. For whatever reason, a lot of people don't post up once their parts are installed, regardless whether its an exhaust, or a kit, or whatever. They are out there, and you're not alone.

Thanks for the compliments.

very nice setup. I'd need a stock exhaust to work from for fitment - and I need a local IS. Local IS is not a problem at all....

I don't know that there is enough interest to do this one though...... if I knew there was good solid interest I could come up with something nice.

Well tell me where your at and I can see if we can get a local IS over to you. Also about the stock exhaust, are you looking for the header back or the rear section? Let me know and if I can find enough people interested I think you could do well on this. As I know a few companies already making one, but I think its like 600+ or so. Also, I think from the midpipe back or rear section + B pipe would be the best and probably cheapest option.

Just for your info....these replicas are of the GEN 1. The Gen 2 had an oval can, not round.

98mkiv
11-10-2007, 09:23 AM
NO. they are of the GEN2. Yes, the Gen2 has oval and this round, but the volume of the can and the piping dimensions/run is the same as the gen2. Making the oval can would result in a lawsuit from TRD. This is as close as the law allows.

I feel like taking the attempt to run a dual exhaust (on a SC300) with this setup... How do I plan on doing this? Well, the Supra Bpipe turns towards the left (when looking at the car from the rear) and I am assuming by rotating the 2nd Bpipe and changing the hanger position, I can obtain an exact match, so that both mufflers are even and match... Hope that made sense....
Mark, any input?

hopefully this will make it clear:

- purchase 2 kits (both bpipes turn towards the left)
- Install the 1st kit on the drivers side
- Install the 2nd kit on the passenger side (by rotating the bpipe and changing the hanger location)

98mkiv
03-20-2008, 09:49 AM

Hey mark do you still have any left? And how much would the DP be if I buy it seperatly later on. Im planning on buying your t61 kit for a 94 n/a supra soon but want to start w/ the exhaust.

Had some trouble getting one bolt undone from the cat (rust/stuck) but after that install was a breeze! As soon as i turned that key.... my eyes lit up! Rrrrrrr rumble.... man it really does sound sweet! I drove by the local Starbucks, and about 20 people were rubber necking as i cruised by!

This is a great exhaust! Looks perfect too!

Mark, thanks for taking the time to help me out on the phone yesterday. To refresh I'm the one getting the TT motor delivered hopefully by next week and since I have an NA I will need some parts. I have some more Newb questions, sorry.

The full turbo back system that I was asking about- does this mean I effectively have no cats at all? Or do I need to purchase some pieces of the TT exhaust so that this will all bolt in? If I do need some of the stock exhaust, which pieces do I need?

I also hope to be able to pass a "if I get pulled over" quick visual so I'd want at least one cat in the system.

Thanks again, when the TT comes in I'll take a quick inspection of it and then place my order.

98mkiv
05-06-2008, 04:11 PM
You can keep your stock cats (both of them) and run only the catback, or you can order the full turbo back system and have a cat added (I can do this for you at extra cost, but it is probably cheaper at your local exhaust shop to add the cat).

Keep the questions coming, that's why we're here :)

Actually, I don't have any TT cats at all, the motor I bought doesn't come with them attached. But I think what you're saying is

1. If I elect to have not cats... then the full turbo back system works and I'm completely non-smog compliant, or

2. If I want to pretend I'm legal... then I have you add a cat, or

3. If I want to really be legal... then I buy the 2 factory cats from someone and only buy your catback system.

What if I still want to run the downpipe? What do I need then?

Golly I'm a newb.

98mkiv
05-06-2008, 11:45 PM

Another out-of-the-blue question. I have a Modellista Designs diffuser and I'm looking at how fatty the muffler itself looks. For some reason I thought it was an oval not circle design. Got some pictures of Mark's Exhaust. This truly is a smoking deal! I get people at car meets asking me all the time what my exhaust is and how sweet it sounds.:dancingco

Ok so how much for full turbo back to 21009?

98mkiv
01-12-2009, 09:43 PM
full turbo back is for the TT only. It can be used with the NA-T but you will need to modify the included midpipe. The price is $510 shipped.

how much modification is needed to make it work? i'm very interested as I just cut my midpipe in frustration today because of stripped bolts.

98mkiv
01-13-2009, 06:21 AM
You'll need to take it to an exhaust shop and have a 3" football flange welded on and then it mates to the NA-T DP. Next time cut the bolts, not the pipe.

01-13-2009, 02:38 PM
nah, i was going to change it anywys lol. i don't like my cheap ass custom catback i bought with the car. Do you have the 3" football flange? Or should I use the one on my midpipe? Also, when will you get those 7psi springs in again?

Is there a DP for an IS300 that someone reccomends here? I just got my XS kit and i dont want to go 3" all the way back as i want to avoid the noise and keep the stock exhaust as well...ANY SUGGESTIONS????:wink5:

98mkiv

You can have an exhaust shop cut the flange off your stock header and weld it to the DP so you can keep the cat and it becomes bolt on.

oh i thought the catback exhaust itself was the same since they are both made by motoria, are pictured the same, and are trd gen 2 replicas.

Not to mention the price difference, its huge? Why do loyal forum members have to unknowingly pay more for the same product when buying through this forum rather than the xs power site? Normally discounts are offered to members of communitys but it is clear in this instance its quite the reverse.

yeah thats why i was questioning it..the price could have dropped since the making of this thread though :dunno: but it would help if the price was updated on here.

Sorry, price should have been updated, the price is $325 for the catback here, cheaper than on the website.

Nope, need to make some minor mods. Doesn't hang toooo low.
