Just bought this damn thing from a member of supraforums. Paid near near full price for this guage, the condition I was told it was in was new.

Go the guage to my house, the vacuum line that comes off of it is cracked and will leak in some places. Oh well, ill replace it. The whole Fn guage is reading positive 7psi of boost... What the? Uncalibrated?

What can I do to fix this,? I'm about fed up with buying stuff from strangers.

The one time I tried to buy something from someone off e-bay I got the shaft. The first, only, and worst experience. People suck :-\.
Maybe if you post on the forums about how you got the shaft maybe something will happen? Not real sure

I know, this sucks. Its one of those cheap mechanical boost guages.

Its reading damn 7.25 PSI, and im only going to be boosting 7psi so WTF! lol

well you should have not bought a used one. its very easy to throw off the calibration. if the gauge faces downward while its in use it will lose its sense of 0. what i have done for the mechanical gauges is convert the plastic tubing which is horrible and i make it rubber. i buy all the fittings from a hardware store and it seals much better and you can run the wire almost like a electronic gauge.

and reading .25 psi off is very normal. thats dependant upon the quility of the gauge. my boost controller reads 6 psi when my gauge reads 5 psi.

Yeah, the plastic vacuums are shit, too. I just am going to return the guage to the original owner, its shit.

If I suck or blow (no pun intended) on the line, it can do from about 4-10 psi... so its not stuck... Gay though, im about fed up with Autometer..

you know sadly i always blew/suck into my gauges too to see how much boost i can build with my mouth.

sucks dude. you can buy a new nylon hose. it might go back to 0 once it sees vacuum/boost. i wouldn't be too surprised if it doesn't though. what was his SN? i would definately give him a bad review

look at it this way, at least it wasnt a big loss if it doesnt work. 50 wont kill you. ive lost a lot of money over my car. im talking thousands.

No.. Didn't mean to sound confusing..

When I hold the guage in my hand, completely disconnected, it reads 7.25ish psi... It stays on that boost pressure as if its broken.. Pic below..

oh i see, there very fragile. i broke all 3 of my greddy gauges due to calibration and water leaking into my pillar. all greddy did for me was waste my time take my gauges. they sent them back to me. said they were fine. on top of it they sent them back to me dented.

Gay... Oh well, I bought them off a member on SF, he's kind enough to accept a full refund. :)
