that looks good, the description is a little off, but it looks like a nice piece. It's shown on a GTE motor, and I'd need to make sure they mean GE not GTE.

The flange on the intake on the picture above and those in the link are GE for sure

It not only says GE but it also says 'non-turbo' in several locations. This is HOT shit and I think I might have to step up to the plate. Not to sure I like any of the anodized TB's included and also means bye bye cruise control and stock sensors.

Upon further review it says something about stock TB in the text of the auction. I wonder if they include a flange for the stock TB and the anodized TB's pictured are the optional larger ones offered.

Sure will

the manifold shown has no end plate for any TB, it is probably added on a per-order basis - e.g. stock, wilson, their custom, accufab, etc.

would you have to run AEM to use this or can the stock ecu work with this?

if you ran the stock TB then you can keep your stock ECU since the IAC is on the TB. However, the unit we will be making will have a provision for you to relocate the IAC to the manifold, so you can run any TB as long as you can get the stock TPS onto it. The manifold I prototype will have a few features on it that make it easy to install and useable with the SC, IS, GS and Supra as well as stock ecu or AEM.

at what price are you aiming for the manifold? :)

If you guys could get an intake manifold done I would bet it will be a hit amongst the 2JZ-GE crowd.

someone needs to come up with a plug & play intake mani + TB that works with stock ecu and keeps cruise control functionality :).

and doesnt require to move the powersteering.

and doesnt require to move the powersteering. eh, power steering reservoir isn't a big deal as long as someone includes the accecories to relocate it with the kit.

Agreed

same. if you have the mechanical skills to swap an intake manifold relocating the power steering reservoir should be a piece of cake.

If you're at the point where you need an intake manifold, you should already be running a standalone solution :) :) :)

I think there are plenty of NA-T guys who want it for looks as much as performance.

Not only that but I like it for the following reasons:

1) Spark plugs are a 5min affair as opposed to a half hour (not to mention no coolant lines to mess with or fluids to spill).
2) Cleans up the engine bay a LOT especially if you swap to TT valve cover.
3) Cuts your intake plumbing down by well over half for better response, less money, cleaner engine bay and no intake pipes being heated up by being directly above the exhaust.
4) Looks cool. Most people prefer the clean intended look of a nice single TT over that of the 'factory' routed NA-T setup.
5) More strut tower brace options.
6) Better flow for more power (and you don't need standalone to make big power with these cars) even though the stock intake has been proven to make lots of power when you get to higher power levels every bit helps.

So, like all other car mods, everyone has their own reasons for doing or not doing them.

good points, Jer, especially the plug access and the TT valve covers.

I gotta adjust a valve shim on the intake side :( arghhh....

We are already tested on 4 of our customer drag racing cars, all these car are 1000++ whp. These car run fine on very high boost(2.5 psi) and drag racing.

haha, what a dumbass. But seriously it looks good, theres gotta be a catch for a polished manifold that only costs that much though. You know there was no flow bench testing done on it, who knows if it even flows better than a stock mani? At least it looks sexy and it probably flows good, I like the little velocity stacks inside on the runners too. Id definitely buy one

I would not criticize them, it looks to be a great product and I know they have a kick ass shop.

Honestly, the NA manifold poses no problems for entry level to <550HP cars. The big drawback tot he NA manifold is the problem with servicing the plugs. Removing the NA manifold is a major pain in the ass. Most NA-T owners prefer the TT style manifold for two reasons, looks and access to the plug galley.

The seller didn't relist after the initial listing. I emailed him weeks and weeks (months?) ago and he said he was out of stock and would email me notification when he got more in and I haven't heard boo from him since. So it doesn't look good.

The sell sold that item for 450 plus the shipping, i checked the ebay offers and looked at the feed back and it was sold. Must have been the last one he had hopefully i can get something like that soon for my car is ready to have the motor put back in. I do not want to have to run the ugly stock intake nor have to plumb it for the turbo either. Thanks

I had a guy make me one for my supra for $450 shipped. All custom. I am sure he could rig up a nice GE/GTE manifold as well.

Here are the pics of mine he made for my 7m Mk3 Supra about a year ago. I am on Page 4 halfway down under the same screename.

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=298911&highlight=intake+manifold

Here is what he made me:

PS: I am sure XS power can rig something up. :fingersx:

I'm curious about the cruise control issue.... seems to me you could just get a Supra TT cable and it would be fine - any thoughts?

(And I'm still NA and will be so for a while, but I WILL be buying a TT style mani when I go turbo.)

what happened to the post that was here last nght? saying that they were still making intake manifolds? why was that post deleted?

It was deleted because I prefer that links to other parts FS be kept in the appropriate section.

Siman, that is a nice looking manifold that the person made, a while back I had a similar one made up. What is the large CNC'd "U" shaped bracket for?
