196,000 on the original engine putting down 602rwhp?? Built up bottom end? Any reliability issues? I'm looking into turboing my car (1995 SC300 5-spd), but everytime I pull into my driveway and see my toasted DSM sitting there, I question if it's worth giving up reliability. THIS car is supposed to be my comfy reliable daily driver.

Then again, so was the DSM. :bowrofl:

Problem Detected.

I think that mileage can make a difference, but if you take a look at the dozens and dozens of people out there with high mileage, and running huge hp, a lot of them aren't having any problems. Almost all of them aren't still on that mileage though, ie- Rebuilt block, new block went in, replaced parts, etc

nope stock bottom end, just keep the oil changed, only run 25psi or great with 100 or better octane, and stay within 450 to 500 on stock tranny. 5 speed doesn't like it when you miss a shift at 602 rwhp :fingersx:

^ Damn your crazy.

I can only imagine misshifting with 602rwhp on the W58.

can't blame the w-58 for my mistake. although it did rush the 6-speed swap along :)
