View Full Version : Exhaust? [cheaper NA-T solution?]

Now my Na-t budget is extremely tight, but I want a free flowing exhaust. I was thinking of using 3in downpipe to a 3in pipe that runs all the way to the stock dual 2.25in collector and then using the stock dual piping. The stock piping is 2.25in correct? In the process, I would "gut" all the cats help with flow. This seems more financially feasible than a custom exhaust system....and no, I don't want single exhaust. What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't go gutting the cats. You should just get a 3" downpipe, and then buy a 3" midpipe to accomodate a 3" catback exhaust to accomodate the rest.

I have the DaveH 3in midpipe.

Yeah, then just get a 3" downpipe along with a cheap used full exhaust.

I never really knew how that work. It splits in 2 or...? Can't you just use a single exhaust like the Supra's?
Yes he can . But that is his why he posted this thread he would like to keep the duals.
Just use the stock mufflers and y pipe with you 3" mid pipe for now untill you can afford a custom dual setup with magnaflow mufflers or somthing like that.

The stock mufflers work just fine on 1jzgte soarers.

For $150, you can't expect the exhaust to be in any "like new" condition, lol.

Depends, I sold my fairly new Apexi N1 exhaust for $150. Took a while to sell as the item is 1 piece no way for me to ship it. So had to do local pick up only type of deal.
