Well there is only one LS400, from 95-2000. If you don't count the old school model, the new ones are a 430. The part numbers should be EXACTLY the same from 95-2000. If you got any other questions shoot-

Sigh....

you need the 250-260hp LS400 AFM... 91-97... dont think the VVTI model will work

Why didnt you just order it from the links posted all over the place for it?
Why are you swapping the housing out? Why not just purchase the entire thing? *shakes head*

from everything i read it was stated that u could use the stock electronic part, why would i swap that out if mine is good? and why pay for the electronic when the housing cost me 50 bucks from lexus? will it not work? its from a 98 ls400 and it is the V8 afm housing

yeah but remember how the I6s went from karman vortex to hotwire with the VVTI changeover in 98... i'm thinking the V8s did the same thing... a hotwire wont work with your setup... which happened in 98 when the GS400 came out... it made 300hp and the LS400 made 290

you can pick up an LS400 AFM for $50 shipped... why not swap it out? so you can have the extra part handy if you go stock, etc...

I'm not positive its the electronics that are the same... it might possibly read slightly differently... if you've read differently can you post the sources? All knowledge is good stuff :)

why does it matter if the sensor is hotwire or karman? that is why im swaping out the electronic part of it, which like stated above , there is only one type of ls400 so the parts should be thesame neways, i duno, i gues i'll see tomroww

The electronics are the exactly the same, even the part#s are the same, I have both. I have double/triple checked.

Bro, don't stress over it, don't try local Lexus dealers, they quoted me $1000+ for a V8 AFM, no joke.

The one you need is from 1UZ-FE V8 4.0L LS400 (90~94) or SC400 (90~94). 95~96 might work, but lets be absolutely safe, anything from 90~94 is 100% sure.

There are quite a few on ebay right now or make a WTB post on Supra forum both local section and national section.

These housing with these part#s are suppose to work:
22250-50010
22250-50030

22250-50011
22250-50031

one more quick question, is the inlet and out let different sizes too? like the adapter part of it? b/c i have my stock one installed now, and i bought an air filter adaptor for it and i was wondering if i could reuse it

You can definitely reuse it, I also had air filter adaptor and I reused it with no problems.

There are a few on ebay right now, look like there are 2 at decent price. There is also Lexus AFM available on the FS section of this forum for $125.

the inlet and outlet ID is a little bigger, but the OD is the same or close enough not to matter. I used the same airfilter adapter on my V8 AFM.

Sorry you're having so much trouble, remember you could have ordered one of the 6 that were posted for you last week and have had it in your possession by now.

But anyway, I'm done with this for obvious reasons. No more postings in this thread for me.
