Whats up guys i was wondering what the gearing was on the 5 speeds, and was wondering? If I put a auto TT rear end on would that give me a better top speed? also would i need a custom drivshaft? One more thing when i do go na-t would that be a good thing?

I know this to hold true with the Lexus's, not sure about the NA Supra but a TT LSD will decrease your Top Speed, but give you more accelleration and better traction.
This is info on the A350E
Ratios 1st.........2.804
2nd.........1.978
3rd.........1.531
4th.........1.000
5th.........9.705
Reverse.....2.393
Differential Ratio 4.272:0

:stickpoke :wtflol:

A tt rear end WILL INCREASE the top end, and decrease acceleration because its gearing is lower than the NA's. The auto tt's gearing is like 3.77 while the NA is 4.27 (93-96) and 4.07 (97-98).

The gearing is higher, lower gearing isn't associated with the number, but with the gearing it self.

4.27 is the gearing for the W58.

I just swapped in the TT auto rear differential w/ lsd in to my car. It is a direct swap, the only thing need to do is swap over the n/a pinion flange over to the TT differential so that the driveshaft will bolt right up.

The TT auto gearing is awesome compared to the stock 5spd gearing. Cruising is much better, and having more top end is alot better.

What about speedometer and odometer readings? How are you countering the different ratio?

MattYour questions are somewhat opinionated. Maybe you should do the research and decide on what YOU want? A lower numerical gearing number will give you more top end, less low end, and vice-versa. With your car NA I'd hate to gain more top end when the low end makes me want to cry already. If this is planned in your na-t, do it after you go turbo. You might like the manners of the gearing on the street with the 5-spd.... it wines up nice and fast and matched with a mid sized turbo [44, 52, etc] it would be one hell of a street car. Do some research........ that's the best thing you can do.

Was everything pretty much take old out, put new in?? Like you reused the old bolts/nuts? There aren't any misc extra parts that is needed is there?
