yes, you can run it that way as well...... read the install guide. That is how it is done on the Black Supra in those pix.

The V-Band on the downpipe.. would I use a 3" V-Band or a 3.5" V-Band... Its on a 3" pipe but the diameter of the V-band flange is a little over 3.5".

yes, you need to weld it in to whatever piping you do. I'd do a 3" x 6" not 10" if you're going into the DP. Check verociousmotorsports.com for the part.

verociousmotorsports.com is great for those custom fab jobs. I have a 3x6 flex welded into my DP.
I have some of it covered in my write up: (see post #93)

ok.. so if i take the stop DP and cut out 6" of the center and replace it with the 6" flex section than it will bolt right up to the stock exhaust right? im doin the whole install in 1 day with some help from todd (Rising_sun) and i just want to have every angle covered.. there isnt any kind of like extention or anything i need to add to the dp is there?

The DP fits perfectly from the turbo to the midpipe (cat) section. Good luck doin it in one day, be ready for small problems to pop up.

Todd's done it a few times, a day should be good for him. Velella, no extension is necessary. I'd put the flex in, weld the top part of it, float the bottom till you put the exhaust on so you can tuck the exahust neatly into the car.
