New Supra Owner!

Finally got my 1st MKIV
97 LE 5spd, red w/blk.
I am here in Las Vegas,NV, anyone else this way?
I Need help with car audio!

probably the same thing i want to know, what are all the speaker sizes since most 97's front door speakers are blown out by now :)

all stock speakers in these cars are blown by now.... they just don't seem to have a very flexible outer ring after 10-15 years!

I'm going to best buy today to get a whole new stereo system for my 97, I'll let you know anything I learn! If they can help? Last time I inquired about fitment of a double din head-unit, and the guy said "make and model sir?" I told him Supra, to which he replied, "2 or 4 door?"

Afternoon. Went to Circuit City and they did a pull up on my supra, with the results being 4" fronts, with 6.5 rear passengers. The 4" fronts were pretty easy to install, just had to modify the mounting screws to the factory mounts. The rears, at least for me, are going to be installed this weekend. Along with a new deck.

I've always had a tough time getting speakers that sounded better than stock. The stock fronts are the drivers in the supra, and the ported enclosure works very well, but only with the stock speakers. I had to get a set of polks in the fronts to even sound close to stockies.

Same for the rears, the ported enclosure on the TT supras is impossible to beat (inexpensively) and nothing seems to be matched to it as well as the stock speakers.

I wound up spending rediculous money at the dealer to get the whole speaker/enclosure deal brand new.
