www.NAperformance.com < For DaveH kit, and Turbonetics
BoostLogic = popular kit if you have the money. It's got the polished bling parts, the full kit, great service. Price costs more
The DaveH kit is also VERY popular, because it is reliable, inexpensive, great performance, and most of all= Great customer service. This is a good kit if your on a budget, doesn't include the "bling" factor
Sound Performance, and PHR are both expensive. With these kits your paying for the name brand, and i'm sure the quality.
Turbonetics is priced somewhat decently. They had problems with these kits in the past, and have made revisions. Most people try and stay away from the kit though, just from the reputation and what you get.

thanks a lot for the help, i got one question if you would pick on kit for a sc300 which one would you take? and i saw on the website you posted that they also sell other engine parts like cams, cam gears and such, but it sais for NA supra, would that also fit the sc300 since its the same engine. i am talking about the HKS cams and gears.
I'd pick boostlogic in a heartbeat myself. They also have the cool 4" catback exhaust ;) Sounds f-ing evil! Even their stage 1 kit comes with a front mount intercooler. Not many other kits can say that; they usually use sidemounts or no intercooler at all (or its small - the turbonetics fmic is kinda small). Plus with perfect fitting too.
Their manifold is a work of art, as is the downpipe (with flex section!). The manifold will fit anything up to the size of a T76.
camgears from TT will work on an NA motor... they are the same part number... cams themselves are different tho... the stock exhaust cam has distributor teeth on it.
If you get the Boostlogic stage 2 you wont need to purchase anything else cept for a clutch and catback. It comes with the headgasket and arp head studs on the stage 2 plus bigger injectors. Get something like a BL67, run ~15psi and make 450-475whp with tuning.
Personally I'm going the Boostlogic route, but the SP kit is also VERY good and so is the Titan kit I hear. I like the quality of BL's stuff, and Kean and Zohair are very easy to talk to and can tell you exactly what you need based upon your goals.

Doesn't look like those Boostlogic kits come with any sort of fuel control. :wtf:

is there any kit that comes with a pre programmed fuel and timing system?

Permit me to add to your question: how much tuning does a standard Stage 1 type kit require?

Yeah well, when you have basic kits that can make 650hp, they leave you to make your own fuel control decisions I guess. Stage 2 comes with the headgasket and injectors
There's no other kits that come with fuel control either.

stage 1 kits are generally setup to run low boost on stock fuel... they generally need a fuel pump and a simple fuel controller (like a S-AFC) to tune out any lean spots
you still should get a wide-band O2 sensor... but you can always take it to a dyno and use theirs for a rental fee

the turbonetics kit comes with extra injectors, fuel controller for them, and a MSD boost timing controller. best over all kit i have found. there are pics of it installed on an SC, dyno sheets, and time slips, check it out

well extra injectors cant be tuned as well as normal injectors can; not anywhere close as a matter of fact...
it'd be cheaper to buy a partial kit and just get MKIII 440cc injectors with an emanage or SAFC2 and V8 MAF

I honestly would probably choose DaveH. (Well, I did, heh) I was on a budget though, and didn't have $7k for a turbo kit and the components.
One thing I can promise you, between Boost Logic and DaveH turbo kit, you WON'T be disappointed with either.

nice pics! I havent seen the two closeups before. I didnt realize they placed the HKS SSQV so close to the TB. Anyone else comment that has a BL kit about BOV placement?

I've seen a handful of setups mount it there. A lot of other people have theirs mounted a few inches lower. People mount the BOV in a lot of different places, I guess for performance and sound reasons.

When did Boostlogic start supplying their kits with FMIC's? That' awesome. Is this a new thing, or did I just not know enough to even realize they were offering that in their kit. What a kick butt deal?

I found this kit also www.streetdynamics.com I chat with the designer all the time very cool guy
Yeah I used their manifold for a while; its a good piece
unfortunately its a low-flow log manifold... definitely not setup for making much over 400whp, it just doesnt have the capacity

i agree with you as well, the dave h kit is pretty good, i mean basically bl and dave are basically the same, but one thing i like the most is that when i upgraded to the bl intercooler pipping, it didnt feel to strong, i felt like i could break it by stepping on it, which i didnt have any problems with the dave h kit, all i did to make it look pretty(lol) is paint/powder coat the pipping. I would have to say Dave H kit, but for fancy looking go with BL kit
