How much power can the R154 hold? What things do I need to do to convert my auto to a manual? I have a 94 Supra and want to push about 500 to 600 tops.

A R154 will hold in excess of 650rwhp.

However, the bolt-in version you would need for a mkiv came from the soarer...and it's rare. Bigtime rare actually. Your options are to find a complete unit from a JDM source ($$$) or use a 1JZ bellhousing coupled w/ a mk3 R154 and custom linkage for the shifter. Either way, you're in for some work and $.

It seems whenever you find a R154 everyone wants a premium for it... to be honest with you, if you're looking for a manual transmission to hold alot of power, I'd go straight for the V160.
