This would help in determining how much traffic the site gets, and help for more possible sponsors.

We have 213 members in the matter of 2.5 weeks, this website is not yet on ANY search engines.. which is amazing.

By looking at the forum statistics there have been an avg of 100 unique viewers every day lately

you can install software server side to check stats.

i run webstat to keep track of mine.

This shows the month my site came online (just a coming soon page) and then when it opened in December. that was 20 days into december...then i got a bandwidth notice :(

it will help when getting advertising.

Yea the forum software has something similiar built in to it which I can access and look over myself, it shoes users registered/visited, user activity, etc.... Its also in graph form

statistics show user activity, registration, viewers, etc... per day which helps to see if the site is getting popular
