So...I bought Ray's (UrbanCustom's) old setup a few months back. I have been thinking I would save up money and pay to have it installed...partially because I lack most of the knowledge and tools, but also, to save myself from the hassle of doing it...because now that I'm in college, I can afford the downtime with my car. I walk everywhere around campus and my girlfriend can take me anywhere I need to go off campus. Anyway, I left all of my kit back in Texas where I live, but I convinced my parents to bring it back so a few friends who have much technical background can help me install it in a couple weekends from now. So...here is the list of parts I bought:

-PT52 60 Trim Turbo - .60 a/r Compressor : .63 a/r Turbine
-DaveH Custom Cast Steel Manifold
-DaveH Custom Downpipe/Midpipe
-Tial 38mm Wastegate w/ Open Dump Tube
-PTE Intercooler - 31"x 10.5"x 3.5"
-Spoolin Peformance Intercooler Pipe Kit
-K&N FIPK Fuel Injection Peformance Kit
-Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
-Delphi 525cc Injectors
-Stainless Steel Braided Oil Lines
-SP 3mm Headgasket
-NGK 3330 Spark Plugs
-Greddy E-manage (NA-T Base Map Tuned 5-7psi)
-Greddy E-manage Injector Harness w/ Main Harness
-ARP Head Studs
-Greddy Type-RS Blow Off Valve

Ok...seeing as how I have no cash right now, I have no Lexus AFM...meaning, I won't be installing the injectors. Since no injectors, no headgasket and studs. First question. Since I'm not going to be running larger injectors, there is no reason for me to install the fuel pump...right? I don't remember it looking that hard, but why waste time if I don't need it done? So...about how long do you think this should take? Knock it out in a weekend? Start Friday, finish Sunday...of lots of hours working...like an all nighter and an all day on Saturday? Also...this is a question directed at Ray...the way you gave me the E-manage...can I run my car on this ok? Like...actually drive the car and make boost? I'll be using the wastegate to control the boost for now. Basically...any thoughts? Things I need to watch out for? Any advice would be helpful, I'll definitely be posting on here if I can't get something. I guess I'll throw a few pictures of my car and kit up here too...

Very soon it won't be empty anymore...

Man that's a clean car! First off... the stock fuel pump should be sufficient @ 8lbs or so. No need for the MAF unless you change the injectors, you're right about that..... but you will need some kind of fuel controller. You say you've got the E-Manage, more than likely the previous tune won't be left in there, besides every car will respond different to the same tune. You will need to tune the car once you have everything installed. Without a headgasket or injectors you will be stuck below 300rwhp [to be safe]. Auto or 5-spd?

Oh yeah...sorry, forgot to mention...I'm 5-spd...I know I will be under 300rwhp, so we will see how long the stock clutch can last. The reason I asked about the E-manage is because when talking to Ray he had mentioned that I would still be able to run the car and the previous tune for the exact kit that I bought was still left there. I'm in the process of trying to sell it to get an SAFC because later on down the road I will try to run the AFC/VPC combo rather than standalone. Speaking of which...if anyone wants to buy the E-manage...right now I'm begging anyone to take this. I will do a straight trade for a BLACK SAFC...but it has to be new. So if someone can get a brand new black SAFC for 120...I will do a straight trade. Anyone?

Thanks,

Bryan M.

i will trade for emanage. just kidding. anyway like i said the basemaps are on the emanage but it tends to change when weather changes. so go with your ideas about the afc. you should still make good power. i made 296 whp at 4.5 psi. even though i had the fuel in there i didnt really take advantage of it.
