Folks had a question...

I have a 97 sc3OO with a usdm 2jz-gte w/v160 swap and the speedometer goes crazy from 0-160mph regardless of speed.

Any suggestions, or comments on what the issue could be?

Thanks!

You dont have the speed sensor hooked up right... If it goes crazy all over regardless of speed without consistent change, then its getting an irregular voltage. So either the speed sensor is totally fubar, or its not hooked up correctly.

how does it have to be hooked up?

It use to read the proper speed, but if you nailed it then it would go nutz, now it goes nuts regardless. Please help!!!!! :sadwavey:

The only thing I can think of is perhaps a connection is loose.

Check all your connections and make sure the speed sensor plug is plugged in and your gauge cluster is plugged in completely.

Everything is plugged in and all the connections are good, im starting to think the VSS is bad.

Its a definite possibility. There should be a voltage test thing in the TSRM I'd imagine
