Are the stock fuel maps excessively rich at any points. Basically what i'm asking is would you see significant gains off of an s-afc.

I'm trying to decide if it'd be worth it to pay the money to hop on the dynom to enjoy the tuning for a few months before going turbo or if i should just wait.

Buy one...I had the opportunity to buy one awhile back before I went turbo, now I wish I had, because I just rushed trying to find one since I'm starting my turbo install this week. You can use it when you go turbo, so it's not like it's a lost fund. Just get it...it will be worth it in the end.

It'd be worth it, you can pick up around 10-15whp. The stock A/F runs pretty rich in the 3500-4500rpm range IIRC. While running NA you can run a higher A/F ratio and still be ok. Can tune for like 12.5:1 on the dyno (which is like 13:1 on the street). Not enough load being put on it to really be of any concern.

Plus you'll learn some stuff about your car too.

Yeah Id say get it now, things will be much more convenient when the time comes for NA-T to just change settings vrs having to install that too.. another headache.. you wont regret getting it first.

I think its a lean spot on Ob1.

I thought that was OBD2? Ah well, I definitely dont know everything :)

I know I picked up power by leaning out a bit across the rpm band and a bit more in the peak torque range.
