Mark, a while back I bought a 38mm HKS-style wastegate from you off of SupraForums. I'm finally getting to the point where I'm installing my NA-T stuff, and I was wondering where to get the pieces to screw into the vacuum ports to hook up a line to it?

You local ace hardware should have brass fittings that will work.

Right on. Would I put it on the end or on the side?

run the pressure line to the side of the wastegate.

Would you know off hand what the thread on it would be or should I just take the wastegate in with me?

Sorry man, I dont know the thread. To be safe, I would take the wastegate in. If I had to guess, I would say 1/4 npt. But dont take my word on it. Hopefully Mark will chime in shortly to give you a definite answer.

1/16 NPT (but bring it to the store). Hardware store, most auto parts store even home depot have it.
You can get them straight or 90 degrees as well.
Side port (near the valve, on the bottom) goes to turbo pressure. You can tap into turbo presure on the turbo housing or anywhere on the piping BEFORE the throttlebody.
The top port goes to the boost controller which then tees into the turbo pressure line that goes to the side port.
If there are two holes on top, the smaller hole (not the NPT hole) gets plugged with a short (6-8mm max) piece of hardware.... should be a metric M4 or M6. Bring the gate with you when picking up hardware or fittings.
Be sure to install the gate with the plate protrusion facing the valve so it will seal.
Hope this helps.

Awesome! I actually have an Aeromotive one in stock here at work, I'll just pick that up. :yumyum:

Do I need to put anything special on this fitting or just screw it in tight?

some teflon tape would be good... don't go crazy tight.

Well, my Aeromotive #15630 1/16 NPT vacuum fitting is waaay too small. I guess I really just need to take the wastegate into a hardware store tomorrow.

Just in case anybody searches for this in the future, a 1/8th NPT barb is what's needed.

if i have seen this thread earlier, i would have told you it's 1/8". I just drilled and tapped the 1/8" on the compressor housing.

yes, you're correct, 1/8 NPT. I got the two confused, sorry for the confusion.
