I have been getting strange noise from taking off when I slip the clutch, sounds like tire spin. However it is not from tire. I have been living with this noise for the past 6~8 month, I usually just idle off the line to prevent the noise.
I have RPS Max PP/6puck disk clutch, which is not very slippable, when I try to slip the clutch, it make a squeaking noise very similar to tire spining. Does anyone know what might be the cause?

its your clutch. i used to run the ACT 6 puck and it did the same annoying ass shit. i hated the noise so much that i took the clutch back out and trashed it. lol.

Yeah...it's the clutch...I was looking at purchasing a turbo ITR awhile back with an ACT 6-puck...made the same noise as you describe.

I have the same noise, with no slippage. Does this require the clutch to be replaced, meaning its going to fail soon?
Do you mean that you make the same noise by not slipping the clutch?
They are actually slipping the clutch so that they have a smooth take-off from idle... the clutch itself isnt slipping under power...
And no that doesnt mean it needs replacement, its just that its a noisy clutch
