Is it new? Ive heard stories of them locking up and what not...

Are you sure your getting boost? Check the source its "vacuumed" too.

yea im sure im boosting, i already dyno tuned, couldnt take it past 15 psi b/c i have bosch +2 plugs, i need to get denso plugs b/c the bosch ones keep blowin out at higher boost levels, so ne ways, the car put down 360whp at 15 psi, kinda dissapointed, but it will do for now till i get the denso plugs, the problem now is that the blow off valve just stoped functionning, the vacume source is very good, u can feel it suck ure finger it pretty tight, and when u take the ssqv cover off it leaks air at higher boost levels.....what could have gone wrong? its brand new from Boostlogic, came with the kit....i need serious help...i miss that sound...

doesnt the SSQV have an adjustment screw on it? is it possibly too tight and not allowing it to blow off?

do you have a newer version of the hks ssq? the newer ones dont come with the screw. but if you have an older one the screw is right next to the vacuum port on the back on the bov

The screw is a piece that sticks off the blow off valve you can tighten or loosen with a wrench or socket (I cant remember exactly, id have to go look at mine)

where are you tapping for the vacuum source? tap it on the top rear of the engine near the firewall. tap right in the middle of that thick vacuum hose that connects to the blueish/purple 90 degree elbow

yes, check for boost leaks and remember that the SSQV doesnt hold boost that well over 1 bar.

It depends on the turbo I believe. My friends GS300 had to have two SSQV's at 1.5 bar in order to hold properly.

Im boosting 9 PSI on a PT61 and the SSQV is holding fine. But from my experience, the SSQV isnt the best BOV to use when boosting over a bar.

My friends GSX is having problems with his ssqv too, his isn't relaeasing right and it has a bad sound too and the little nipple part keeps fallling out of it too. When we adjust the screw it doesnt do anything to help.
