Are 2jzgte single turbo manifolds compatable with the 2jzge? intakes?

No they are not. Check NA-T basics in the FAQ section. Different bolt pattern, different port sizing, different port spacing...

people have gotten them to work together by rewelding new flanges on them, but they dont quite line up perfectly, and its just cheaper to buy the manifold made for the 2jz-ge

if you are looking at peiceing together a kit, I would advise against it. you will run into way more problems then you are asking for. Be smart and just buy one of the premade kits, boostlogic, daveh, etc...peice together a kit may be cheaper but in the long run you will end up paying much more and have many headaches.

Thank you :)

I dont mind paying for a kit. I just get more pleasure by building (boosting) my own stuff. I just dont really know whats all 'available'....reading FAQs now. ;)

I emailed a guy 'DaveH' about purchasing his manifolds, because I hear the name so often. Any other builders?

That's who most people buy their kit from. I chose DaveH as well for my single turbo kit. Dave also sells intake manifolds that are great for na-t, and make the car look MUCH cleaner. They aren't going to serve much performance gain, though, unless your looking at over 800rwhp.

I emailed Dave H from SF the day I got the car....

Plus, Ive got so much crap left from the sc400 turbo project :(

In my opinion you'll learn more if you piece together your own kit but that's because you'll run into more problems ;) . But I don't agree with it going to cost more in the end since I was able to go na-t for around 2700. But I still have problems... :dunno:

Doing it yourself and sourcing parts while rewarding will make you want to sell the car and abandon the project. Very hard to make things function correctly. On paper this isnt so, but after doing it myself on my own car twice and then helping a few others with theirs... its a PITA

I'd sell a lot of the SC400 turbo parts and fund yourself a full blown kit. Sometimes money is of a concern too, but if you've got the cash, I would do it.
