Loan a friend my XS T61 after a slag busted his turbo. The SR20 dynoed at 391 @ 20 psi on pump gas with the T61 on a dyno dynamics dyno. The car was an absolute beast revving all the way to 8500+ rpms. ( built engine 272 cams springs etcetera). however, the nut on the compressor backed out causing failure. In went a XS T57 with a masterpower .68 T4 housing. Surprisingly spool was about the same as the T61 with the .84 T4 turbine housing. Most notable was the dramatic drop in power (butt dyno) despite running 22 psi.
Conclusion, the XS T61 is one helluva Turbo.
