thanks.. just contacted jhot for a price on an engine.. they say they dont got any manual tranny engines so i might have to get a auto tranny one.. since sc300 is 5spd all i gotta get is the manual ecu correct?

the stock w58 tranny will bolt up to the automatic 1jzgte right?

Yes, i've used a 1jz auto front clip and bolted the engine to a friends w58 using the 1jz auto ecu as well.

jhot laid out for me this deal..

i emailed them regarding if i could get a manual tranny engine complete with ecu.. first they emailed me saying they didnt have one.. they emailed me back saying they had one that didnt quite sell on ebay yet. and i could have it for about 1900.00 and that was an actual supra engine.

they sell the 1jzgte auto version from a soarer for like 1300.00 and i believe thats with the auto tranny. i have no use for the tranny since i got a 5spd sc300 so iam good there.. that probably will knock down the price quite a bit.. all i will need that wont come with it is the manual ecu.. id ont like the idea of the bypass thing for the auto ecu..if everything goes well i will purchase the engine from jhot asap.. i spoke only to jhot for the engine since everyone and their mom recommeneds them.. i didnt even check anyone local..

I wouldnt use the 1jz supra set up in an sc300. Read my tutorial, the wiring is totally different. There's nothing wrong w/ a little bypassing. Plus it'll save you a few hundred modding dollars.

well heres the thing.. they got one 5spd setup and they want 1900.00 for it.. i dont need the tranny at all and ecu is alot cheaper than paying 600.00 more for..

i can get their auto setup with the engine and auto ecu for 1300.00

so iam gonna go that way and sell the auto ecu and get a manual ecu..

If its Soarer 5spd swap then id buy it, even if you dont need the tranny some one would definitley buy it for a decent price. If its a Supra 1jz dont bother as the tailshaft is different. The bellhousing though is worth 300 bones though.

If your doing what ur say ur doing you will have a hard time finding a 1jz manual ecu. Most people run the 1jz auto ecu even though they have a 5spd equipped car. Just a 2 min wiring job. The 1jz auto trans is pretty strong so anyone with the oem sc300 trans would buy it.
