98 tail lights give a tinted/smoked look from an angle.

Incase no one noticed, I also changed the front lip to RMM/WW with the side trimmed. New wing tomorrow. :D
I still like the oem wing, so I will switch between the 2 depending on my mood.

I like the 97-97 taillights on most colored supras but I prefer the older style on the black supras. I do like the clear turn signals on all colored supras though. :)

That's exactly what I think! So I left my stock ones on my Black 93.

A lot of people share that same opinion.
I personally think that 97-98 taillights look good on red, yellow, and RSP supras the best. Of course I think the 98 headlights look better on ALL supras.

I think 98 lights look good on black! i hate the older stylez that is just me though
I personally prefer the look of the older style. It has more depth and that's what made these so unique and created all the copycat aftermarket taillights for other car makes. The 98 style look good, but I don't like the way they flatten out the look with the trim piece. Neither looks horrible in my eyes but I just prefer the earlier style taillights.

I have the black-housing tails on my 97, and I just ordered the black-housed headlights to complete the set. In my opinion, they do much more justice to a white car.

Post pics of your headlights when they are done.

They're in at Toyota right now, I just have to pay for them. My best friend's father is head of the parts department which is SPECTACULAR for me because I am all about OEM shit. I will definitely post them up. I expect it to look good considering I still have the little black lip-thing around the car.

Would you mind posting pics of the tail lights also? I have a Pearlescent 95 SE and would like an idea of how they'd look. I think both the lights are nice, but I prefer the older tail lights as well.

My Supra is pearl white as well, the pics does not do them justice, if you actually compare the 2 in person, on 2 white Supras, night and day difference, no joke, these make biggest difference in white Supras, very stealthy.
98rear lights looks 3D in all angles, the older tails are completely flat.
Trust me, I used to prefer black rears on white Supra as well, it would of been impossible to get me to switch as I never saw 98tails on white Supras in person other than pics (for some reason the 98tails look ok on white supras judging from pics, but in person you will fall in love with it).
It is by far the best exterior mod I have done so far, I love my RMM front lip and FMIC, but nothing touch the tails. People give me compliment on the rear lights all the time now, in the past no one ever said a thing about black rear lights.

I'll have to look into finding one that I can inspect in person.
