Yeah, so cars back, tuned, and running fine. Boosting pretty good, everything seems to be working well.
However, the car stalls way often. Almost every time I come to a stop, the car just dies. I'm assuming this is because im on the stock MAF and running the HKS SSQ BOV.
What can I do to prevent stalling? Will a lexus AFM solve my problem? Also, does the harness that is in the motor now just clip right up to the lexus MAF?
Also,
After i installed my walbro fuel pump (yes im an idiot, i left the battery in while i did this) the gas guage is all screwy. The needle seems to not function correctly, and my fuel light comes on randomly, so i have no idea how much gas I have in the car!
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks guys, other than these issues its running fine!

As far as the stalling yes it's the MAF/BOV situation. You can try routing the BOV back into the intake after the MAF. Or go MAP ECU.
The Lex V8 maf and our Supra MAF have the same electronics. It's a plug and play situation. No the V8 maf won't remedy the stalling either.
AS far as the fuel deal, I got nothin... reset the ECU? :fingersx:

Thanks for the help.
So, the only way to prevent stalling is the BOV recir.?
Sucks, I thought the HKS BOV wouldn't cause the car to stall so frequently.

change your maf to a blow-through setup :yumyum:

Either gotta recirc the BOV, or if you are using a AFC (pretty sure you are) there are decel-air settings in the AFC to help solve the problem. Unfortunately I have no idea how to set up decel air.
I'm about 99% sure you tweaked the fuel sender as you put the assembly back in the tank, and now the sender is hanging up on something. You gotta take it back out of the tank, straighten whatever isn't right and then put it back in carefully. It's real easy to mess it up.

LMAO, Im sure your right. I even remember we got hung up, so we just forced it in there and im sure somethings hung up.
I'll pull it back off later tonight or tomorrow, and figure it out.
Thanks man!
As for decel air, my tuning shop said that they fixed that so it shouldn't stall. My problem is im idling at like 750, so whenever I come to a stop sometimes that will go to like 575...
I'll try raising my idle to like 1,000-1,200 and see how that does.
Thanks!

Most likey it will be the hks ssq bov, how it isn't vented to the atmosphere.

Dave, I just tried to fix the fuel pump assembly.
I took it out of the car, and I noticed how it was just hanging there (im talking about the little square screen thingy you clip on)... Anyways, I thought that I had it on pretty good, put it back in, and redid everything.
Well, I started the car. Now its even worse, lmao.
Now, the needles stuck AND the fuel lights on. I guess this is a good thing, so now I know that basically something in the assembly is messed up.
Anyways, got any ideas for me to watch out for? Im pretty sure the damn things on right, but obviously im mistaken.
Oh well, itll come out again tomorrow... lol

What are you talking about? The stall would be cause by venting it TO the atmosphere. You're confused...it's the other way around, venting it back into the intake would solve problems...not cause them.

try tightening down the spring on the BOV.

Pull out the pump again and take pics. Would help to diagnose your problem if people could see what you have.

Lexus AFM will definite not solve the stalling, however you do need it for your larger injectors.
It is probably due to location of your BOV or you may need adjust the HKS BOV with the adjustment screw, I rarely stalled with hks SSQ bov in my old set up with NA intake mani. I did not run recirculation kit.
In my new set up with TT intake mani, I have never stalled a single time, even if I try I can't get it to stall. I am still running Lexus AFM no VPC or AEM EMS.

Cool, thanks guys. Im going to pull the pump out in an hour or two, then ill take pics, so that when I put it back together and it doesn't work that you guys can help out.
I'll also tighten my BOV bolt, and see what that does.
Im idling low so i think i might adjust the idle screw too.
Off topic, but what do you guys use to seal both ends of your downpipe when you wrap them? I was going to do that later too, and I just thought about that.

Try holding your hand over the BOV while idling and see if the car idles any better. Could show you if it is not sealed.
I have just used worm gear clamps in the past to hold heat wrap on.

Alright, so after ANOTHER try...Still not metering the fuel. Now, this time, the fuel light is back OFF, but my needle is stuck all the way on Full, and I should have 3/4 tank. :hay:
