Well... I was scared as hell as I turned the key. After almost a months worth of work out in the garage, this was where I found out how good of a job I did...
I did the basic turbo install, BL 2.5 mm hg, 525 cc injectors, phr motor mounts (clearance problems with wastegate), map-ecu, innovate wideband. I had to do the distributor cap too since I broke it while doing the exhaust.
The car started up and idled fine, but I found there was a boost leak at the injectors and a coolant leak on the exhaust side. I've been able to fix the injector boost leak since then, but I have no idea what is causing the coolant leak. I was thinking maybe I had one of my lines wrong and it was putting coolant into the throttle body/delivery assembly, but as far as I could tell everything was fine.
The other thing I was thinking it might be is that there is a problem with the headgasket and coolant is getting into the exhaust from there. The leak appears to be coming from the wastegate, which makes me wonder if coolant is coming in from the exhaust manifold and the coolant is trapped by the wastegate where it leaks and the air just escapes to the downpipe like normal.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? If I dont figure this out soon I'm going to have to take it to the shop, which kinda pisses me off as I've done everything on my own so far. Once this leak is taken care of I'll be able to tune and be done with this damn project.

While putting the intake delivery assembly back on, I noticed a little bit of coolant in it. I think I've figured out my problem. I had the coolant line going from the bottom of the throttle body going into the front of the intake delivery assembly (you can see the two points I'm talking about in the pictures).
Can anybody help me out with where the two lines in the pictures go? I cant seem to find much on the lines from what I downloaded from toyota techinfo.
Any help you guys can give is appreciated. Just wanna get this thing taken care of so I can get to tuning.

The top picture is the Throttle body coolant line. It connects to the TB and feeds through it to the other side of the TB then to a pipe at the back of the block on the exhaust side of the car. The second pic is of the power steering vacuum line I believe. It connects to one of two ports on the PS pump. The other one goes to a port next to the lower cam cover.
If you do the throttle body coolant bypass mod you can eliminate that top hose. Look in the Tech section, I did a writup on it there.

Thanks, I think I've got it set up right now. I'm going to try and start the car a bit later tonight. Hopefully the coolant leak will be gone and the boost leak at the injectors as well.

That's awesome you got it running ( well sort of ;) )
Did you load up that MAP I gave you?
Or did you start you own?
Also the leaky injectors can be fixed with 4 dollars worth of nylon spacers from the Home Depot. This is how I fixed my problem.

Oh man that looks a lot better than what I tried... What I tried worked on 5 of the 6 injectors, so then i had to tear the TB off again and try to fix the one and I jacked up all the others. Anyways it was messy as hell and took up my whole night almost, damn silicone.
Thanks again for the map, I doubt I would have even been able to start the car. It loaded fine, idled semi-rough but that could have easily been because of fuel escaping from the leak.
As of now all the injectors are off now so I'm going to try your method. How does it work? Does it just put more pressure onto the injector? What aisle at the home depot should I look for them on? Any idea on size?
Seriously man I dont know what'd I'd do without you man... you're my hero.
Can you guys PM me that map that you guys are using. I have a obdI and I would like to use the 525cc instead of the PHR 440cc map(I have 550cc injectors).I should be ready to start the car up this week, just need to load a good map into my MAP ECU.

Wow your lucky I was able to find the extra one I had laying around.

They are a half inch long and a half inch inside diameter. I had to cut these in half to get the right pressure down on the injector grommet. If you can find them only 1/4" long then you may not have to cut them at all.
As far as how they work?
The little spacer is pressed up against the injector when you tighten the rail down which in turn presses down on the grommet creating the seal.
I found them in the roll out bins in the screw/bolt isle.

Right on thanks again man. I'm having to get new grommets cause the ones I have are pretty jacked now. Local dealership said they wont be able to have em in till Friday so now I get to sit on my ass all week. Also ordered some injector o-rings, I remember reading a lot of people double stack them with the BL injectors. Four bucks a pop for 3 cents a rubber how do they sleep at night...
Anyways I'll keep you updated, it seemed to idle pretty damn nice when I switched my AIT sensor wire from blue/pink to pink/blue and left the one on brown/black. That is the correct setup right? The two end wires on the MAF plug?
When I had 5 of the injectors sealed it sounded a bit different from when I had it going earlier, and it was actually holding some boost. There was a kinda loud humming sound, I didn't have much time to isolate where it was coming from as it was still leaking. Is this normal for a NA-T? I dont have much experience working with or even being around turbo engines so I'm not sure if somethings going wrong. I'm amazed by the heat I generated just at idle.

Yeah I doubled up my o-rings as well, why not. You should put a little lube on the o-rings before you squeeze em back into the fuel rail. It'll help them go in smooth and keep them from possibly tearing while your installing the injector. As far as the intake air temp sensor I'm using a resistor there instead of the sensor. I don't remember the colors of the wires to use for it off the top of my head.
I don't know what the humming is your hearing. does your wastegate dump to the atmosphere or is it routed back into the exhaust? I guess we'll just wait to see once you get your injectors sealed up.

Well... shit this is really dragging on. So far I've fixed a boost leak at the injectors, ATF leak from a punctured line, coolant leak, oil leak at the oil feed to the turbo, and tonight I found I have an oil leak on the exhaust camshaft seal.
I thought I'd be done by this weekend but every time I fix something I find another problem. I hope this is the last leak because I need it drivable to get to the exhaust shop. After that I have to get my wheels put on, which I'm pretty scared may not fit.
The wheels I have were 18x7 with +42 offset. They were widened to 18x9 for front and 18x10 for back. Will this work alright? Does anyone have any advice for getting the camshaft seals to actually seal?

Which MAP-ECU map are you using finally?
