So theres a 1995 Manual shell with no engine, tranny. Body is VERY clean as well as the title....how much do you think its worth? I think it would be cool to pick up and try to rebuild over the next year or so....

Yeah, something like that sounds about right.
Would be nice to haggle them to 2-3k so its not much of an investment.

Im gonna make an offer on it today after work. I guess the thing was running 1000hp before it was taken apart :(
has a few 'things' left on it that would make it worthwhile to rebuild....i think*
*Ive never even sat in a Supra before :ohnoes:
hehe... its always that first time that makes you fall in love with the car... and I dont even own one.
First words out of my mouth were: "Oh.... shit...."

I just thought Id never buy one. Ive always liked them but then 'that' movie came out....but Now it seems that the true Supra enthusiasts have taken the car back. :)
I Had a friend up here who had a bad ass Supra. I didnt bother asking to ride or sit in it because I knew how much money he had into it...
Never been in a 3rd gen Rx7 either :(

Yeah, saw the door handle break in one too. Nice design, horrible quality.
For a car that looks that good, has that much potential, and is a relative beast on the track..... you go hop in it and the door handle breaks or the interior is peeling... or you gotta be worried if its got 60k on the original motor (thats pathetic)
Supra > FD and I've sat in, and driven both... the only thing the FD has over it is nimbleness in the handling... the Supra gets by with big grip vs finesse, and it will outbrake the FD any day of the week.

The 7 is for short people, plus I hate pure 2 seater like vettes,350z's and rx7's.

I drove an auto TT and then a 5-spd rx7 right after one another when I was looking to buy a car. The supra screams build quality in everything from the interior materials to the way the dash is formed. The rx7 seemed like a plastic pos when I sat in. Everything was cracking, peeling, and just all around had a very plastic vibe.
Now I own a 96 NA and I couldn't be happier.

ahhh that sucks.
Keep looking and you'll find something. :)
ah well, you'll find another one if you look
i'm not a fan of shells anyways, i prefer a car with at least a motor in it (doesnt have to run)... there's no telling what spare parts you need

Story behind this car:
The owner is 'out of town' for a while (a long time I think ;) ) so he has a friend selling it. I met with this 'friend' and we couldnt work the deal and ended up going trying again over the next few days. The last day we were off by 1k...I offered to meet half way.
I had a mutual friend call this guy and ask if the deal was gonna go thru. He told my friend that HE decided not to sell me the car because he didnt like me. Said he didnt like the fact that I didnt care if the deal was made or not and that I 'acted like' the car was no big deal to me.
WTF?!?!? :hay:
So I was dealing with a middle man on a power trip because I wasnt kissing his ass to get the car....IT'S NOT EVEN HIS!!

I can totally understand that..
it being a shell will make me take my time and be more of a 'project' :wavey:
I'll get around working with the owners friend and try to secure the deal by this weekend...I hope

LoL!! Thanks!!
I was getting depressed thinking about being 'that' close to finally owning a Supra :(
Ah its ok :) I want to own one too... I find myself trying to eek it out financially, but I cant do that to myself just to own a certain car (I'd rather have a house first lol)...
So I just wait for the right time :) Patience is key.
