Standalone with an Auto tranny.

So, i was wondering regarding standalones....and the auto ecu. How it worked if you put a standalone on a car with an auto tranny. How would the transmission be controlled? I know the Haltech E6X allows you to run in parallel with the stock ECU, but what if the standalone doesnt have this feature, or if you were to use the greddy e-manage ultimate?

Since the e-manage ultimate is technically a piggyback...would this work with the auto ecu no problems?

Not sure exactly what you're asking here. A piggyback controller will retain stock trans control through the stock ECU. A standalone will resume programable control as it replaces the stock ECU.
