So we started a 1JZ swap yesterday in my buddies SC300 its a 94 car with about 294K on the odo. Its beat all to hell and he picked her up for 2 grand. The GE was worn to hell the whole car blew smoke everywhere (my new builder block). He convinced my brother to sell him the 1JZ clip sands the transmission (auto). So we yanked his motor and did some clean up of the engine bay with a steam cleaner and pressure washer and simple green with magic erasers. We replaced the powersteering lines that were leaking with steelbraided lines. Put in a new timing belt and serviced the motor fully with denso iridium sparkers, flush and clean of the block with seafoam, pulled the pan and checked for shards of metal and all was good replaced all serpintine belts too. Put everything back together and put the motor in with the original downpipe. Now all we are waiting for is the Autosport Wiring harness extension so we don't have to cut and rewire junk.
We pulled the cluster out of the dash and will be sending it to O.L.T. for lighting and needle repair. Thats about it right now gonna work on it some more tomorrow. I need sleep its 7:00 AM and I have been up since yesterday at 6:00 AM.
