how do the cams and valve train run. i am going to swap mine out but trying to decide on 264 or 272? i can run all the same springs as a 2jz in my head minus valves(cause mine are bigger...) and then get the cams done. i can get the regrinds for around 250 for both and that isnt too bad.

The cams are nice but dont go with Crower. I should have gone with 264s. If you get 264s you dont need springs/retainers depending on which ones you get. HKS cams dont need to be shimmed but with any other cams they need to be.

i just dont see shelling out over 1k on 2 cams when i can send my spares off and get regrinds. all depends on how this tt trans holds power. i might as well go and get the th400 i found and start getting the parts for the gm swap.

C'mon now, what did you make with the GTK1000..... from your setup you should be in the 850 range at 25.... but you should have a lot more left.

It made ~740 SAE at 25psi. Thats as high as we could go. I was having trouble with the wastegate. Apparently, the GT-K 1000 doesnt make as much power as some of the other 76mm turbos. It does spool a little sooner though.

S14, As far as the motor goes, it's a stock 2jz bottom end with Crower 272 cams. The turbo is a Turbonetics GT-K 1000.
