hey, i am from dallas tx and i am on the quest for a sc 2jz-gte swap. i was told this would be one of the best places to learn about the swap. i want to make sure i know as much as possible before i start on this project so any input or write ups you wish to link me to would be appreciated. i might as well ask a few basic questions.
1. how much will this cost to do it right? i dont want much power with the intial swap but in the future i will be going big turbo and big power.
2.is there any major difference in which year SC i get? besides cosmetic
3.to those who have done this swap how hard is it? and how reliable is the car when done?

1. I've been told the cost will be around $5K-$7k. I bought mine already swapped.
2.Get the SC300 as the engine is a direct drop-in.
3.Reliable yes if its done right and will actually run!

Sorry I'm being a little biased in #3 as mine will not start and I just got it.
