Hey guys, working on a NA-T right now on the sc300 but something came up. I have no photographs of the area im having problems with, but please bear with me.

Theres a bunch of lines are there. I got them moved off but there is literally a steel plate there blocking where I need to put the IC piping.

Does anyone have a picture of their intercooler piping setup? Thanks in advance!

Are you sure that there isn't a way that you can just angle the pipe down and go under the wall? I think that is what I have to do on that side of the intercooler because it looks like the hole it would even go into has a BUNCH of AC lines and crap...and I'm not going to even try to relocate those.

You can just loosen those AC lines and just push/bend them out of the way to allow the IC pipe to pass through on the Supra. I'm not exactly sure whats there on a SC300.

Wow...and this whole time I was thinking I would have to just run the pipe under that area...I was worried because I figured it would bottom out all the time or something...thanks for the help, so it's not that hard to bend those lines?

Regarding the AC Lines, I got them completely unbolted and ziptied out of the way, but the problem im having is the fact that theres a steel plate with huge ass bolts blocking that general area. I tried removing them but there are several layers. I wanted to avoid putting the IC pipe under the wall because it hangs down pretty low - unless someone has done it sucessfully?

At least on my Supra, there seems to be a plastic plate there too. Had to hacksaw a round circle for the pipe to clear in that area.

Took care of the a/c lines there and like michael said, there was a plastic plate there. I trimmed some off that to get the I/C pipe up high enough.

^ Sarcasm?
But no its just you. Thats a Greddy 3 row intercooler, pretty much the most common FMIC on Supras.

he probably just didn't notice or see that the FMIC goes behind the metal absorber plate?

Sweet set up, I like your IC pipings, no couplers around the bents, virtually pop proof.

haha as long as they're t-clamps it should be fine right?

And yeah.. he probably got confused with the bumper absorber being in the way. Badass intercooler and piping setup. Thanks for the photos, it will help me ALOT

Drew,

Most likely so, definitely use T-Bolt clamps, but then I would worry about ripping the couplers, less couplers the better, in my set up the couplers around the bents are supporting most of the weight, everytime I go WOT, there is a lot of movements/stress around the couplers.

I am running 10 couplers total. 4~6 should be safer.

But then again, I never popped the couple once when I was boosting only 7.25psi.

Good luck with your project, Look like you should be done anyday now, I can't wait to see you complete your NA-T conversion.

The moment im finished, I'll call you up and we can get some boba and fried chicken at your local icafe/life plaza/guppy teahouse/lollicup etc etc :dancingco

Im running a total of 6 couplers, I think 4 is impossible haha.

Ive been having a blast watching people try to figure out how I ran my piping...

just trim a bit off the bottom of the wall and run it under the splash shield. everything is ran next to the battery tray...just hard to see unless in person.

It doesnt look as cool because you cant see both hot and cold sides unless you're at an angle looking down on the car.

As you can see form the pic, the cold side looks like a standard setup. Pipes angled up into the engine compartment. The Hot side has to be angled DOWN a few degrees to clear the oil/tranny coolers and hard lines...as well as the remote oil filter setup needed to get this damn thing fitted.

I couldve got it to look 'normal' but didnt want to relocate all of that crap under there....

If I had to do it over, I'd run a Vmount (better performance/cooling) and call it good!

oh, I tried bending lines with a tube bender, but I guess it added more pressure from the extra bends....not really sure how it failed but the fluid on the ground came from the lines that I messed with :(
