A friend recently showed me a shift kit for sale on turboeast.com for the SC...

Has anyone bought one of these before? and is it worth getting?

If I'm not mistaken (I've got a Supra so I'm not entirely sure) you've got some type of a340 auto. If so you can get as good or better results by locking the detent (downshift) cable and shimming the 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 accumulators (its not as hard as it sounds). I did mine and it kicks ass. But if it makes you nervous you could probably get a tranny shop to do it relatively cheap.

Feels like a built trans and it will last longer. Also, it will save you some dough.
