Power steering bypass....

Trying to bypass my power steering. I believe the bearings in it may be bad. (excessive ENG noise) It's either the ac clutch or the PS.

Just wondering if I can buy a smaller belt and bypass the PS pump? Is there a way of doing this?

You can bypass the A/C with a smaller belt but I've never heard of trying to bypass the PS pump. Did you figure this out?

A smaller belt won't work with the tensioner setup the way it is. I haven't tried changing the tensioner. But it will be necessary. I just bought a new ps pump.
