Hello

( 1995 Sc300, Hotwire MAF, running 9PSI blow thru setup )

I recently had a AEM F/IC installed by Mark Korsu out in Jersey

Car is currently untuned and is running fine.
( :mad5: STILL waiting on my wideband to be delivered before I start tuning...)

My question is the car has become extremely hard to start
I suspect its running really rich because it will just crank and sputter certain times and you can smell fuel.

We followed 100% the instructions on how to wire up the F/IC based on what the pin outs were and the diagrams found thru the TSRM

Is there anything I can do to get rid of the hard starting?
as I said the car will just crank over and sputter, this usually repeats for about 4x before it finally starts up
Other times its just turn the key and it starts up fine.

did you check your plugs? someone suggested this to someone else in another thread. maybe your plugs are fouled?

remove the FIC first.... it has a jumper plug that you can install that basically disconnects the FIC from the system and puts it back to stock. If the problem persists is the car. If it does not then you need to look at the FIC. All your trims should be zero to start with....

let us know what you find.

wait, I missed something.... this car is hotwire with a frequency type meter? The FIC will ** NOT ** work with that type of mass airflow. ** maybe ** a 1996 OBD2 (distributor motor) ecu will work with it.
