Gents...
Where can i go to find out about getting my W58 built. Websites? Anyone you would recommend? It will be running a Fidanza lightened flywheel and probably the PHR clutch kit. I want it to be able to hold 550hp on the track. ;)
Thanks!

dont think that will ever happen. why pay all that money to try and get it to hold power when you can just get a R154 and it will hold it fine.

Champion Toyota is the #1 rebuilder for V160s. You may give them a call and see if they can do something with the W58. I know they can cryo the gears and such to give it more strength but I dont remember what the weak point is.

wont find them with that kind of mileage.

I knew you would say that lol but even if i find one with high mileage i can have it rebuilt for cheaper than a v160 swap, so thats all im looking for. reliability is key.
thanks for the input!

Theres a good supply of Soarer R154s in Japan, depends if you are willing to pay that much but that's where I bought mine from.

I've got a stock 1jz flywheel, and I think theres one coming with the gearbox too so I have a spare.. I guess they are easier to come by over here.
Theres one going on ebay now if you are really keen.

Thanks Nick, i am trying to stay away from ebay as much as possible though, too much bullshit happens around that arena. Trying to buy everything new... i found an R154, still trying to confirm whether its the soarer or the mkIII... then onto the 1JZ bellhousing which i found at driftmotion.com ;) ...

Yes I know what you mean, secondhand car parts off ebay is probably a bit risky :)
I have heard of people getting aftermarket flywheel from a 7M and having new holes drilled in it for the 2J bolt pattern. Has anyone here tried this?
