I already have one sitting at the shop, it is still waiting to be mated with it's new partner. I have talked extensively with Ty at IPT and he assured me that the tranny will hold the power that I wanted to make with my motor. (looking at 600+ RWHP) he did state that he knows for certain that this built tranny can handle 800+ since it has been used in drag cars. I also like that fact that they have a 1 year warranty on the tranny. Who else has that warranty? No one I know of will warranty a "race" tranny.

As soon as I will receive transmission from IPT and I will pass on it then I will make the small report.
Ty said that my tranny will shipped after next week. Let's look :wink5:

IPT has always roamed around my brain cells. But I have a IS300 not a GS. I understand they do have the same transmission but from my research the output shafts are different in the two application. I was wondering would this work for a IS300 also? I talked to the guys at IPT a few times, they kept telling me they dont have an application for an IS300.
Also what sort of cost are we talking about with their transmission?

If you guys wait a bid, a company by the name of SRT (Swift Racing Technology) is about to come out with a "bulletproof" auto transmission setup. The setup includes a domestic transmission, adaptor plate, torque converter, shaft, mounts, etc; pretty much everything and anything needed to get it up and running. It is said to be under $5,000.00 for the kit. Which is a killer of a deal especially when the transmission comes with a lifetime warranty.
IMO, as much as you build those stock A650E, it will eventually blow.

Ah thats not too bad :) I paid just over $1000 for shipping an R154 from Japan to Australia.
It's all worth it though in the end hehe
