View Full Version : to do or not to do?
well i recently brought my 94 n/a and after reading abit i have come to realise na supras need a fair bit to compensate for most power increase
well thats how i see things most people say it would be easier to trade in my na for a tt and add cash but i dont want to due to my na is visually decked out.
my problem is i want around 300 rkw, would an na be able to last awhile with such power or would it be better to trade in for a quality tt?
and price estimates would be much appreciated as i would be willing to spend between 10 to 20k on its preformance
thanks guys

Hi kiwi,
you sound like a new zealander who has jumped the ditch?
Anyway, dont worry about chasing down a TT and forking out more $$ if your NA is a tidy example.
Just speak to Mark (98mkiv) in the XSpower section at the top of the forum page and buy one of his t61 kits. You will see more than 300kw with the right parts and tuning. Great value for money.
Good luck :)

cheers but the hard part isnt scrapping rkw its just being the na standard car, can it wistand much power or will i have to get a getrag or a bunch of parts to compensate just wanted to know summing up price for parts needed to compensate for a tubro kit or extra turbo
thanks again i will look into the t61 kit just want to know what my car needs to have to keep up with such power haha

I own an SZ too so I understand what you mean ;)
The 5spd is fine if you arent an animal, apparantly around 450whp is their limit but it all comes down to how you drive it. If you plan on launching and drag racing or even power shifting, I imagine it wont last too long but if you are kind to it and show some respect to your car, it should see you many happy k's of boosting :)
Im about to put my t61 kit in over the next few weeks, cant wait
Cheers
Mr Ree
cheers mate yeah i may give it some gas but no strips or powershifting but then again i look after my toys, but tell us how it goes with ur t61 kit thanks again
