ok i have swapped in a b&m performance upgraded TH350 chevy tranny, 3 speed non lockup. i swapped it in and it drievs and drives fine but under boost it feels laggy and like it slips. i have a boss hog 3200 stall converter in it and it brake torques at 2k. is the laggyness normal for it or is the tranny rebuild wrong? i have another one and dont want to swap it out if it will be the same. any insight would be appreciated. (sorry i am not a chevy guy)

There is a considerable power loss through the 350's and 400, and people have said that it really hits spool time in the teeth. Thats why manual's usually have that higher turbine housing A/R because there is less rotating mass for the engine to turn and it frees up alot of throttle response and decreases spool time. The slipping I am not sure about, I bet it isn't even slipping it just feels different because the power is being transfered differently.Tres would know more about domestic trannies but I think the powerglide is said to be the best for not draining all the hp away. What did you have in there before?

well update time. i have put in another tranny and the th350 swap is very nice and holds well. love the instant shift without the stutter or wait. my top speed went from 174ish to probably around 130 (no speedo). the only problem is i have a slight vibration in the engine. i have a new flywheel and new torque converter and i have even unbolted and turned the converter and still the same. it has a little less vibration with it all the way off and just the flywheel spinning. the shake is only from alittle above idle to about 3500 and not too bad but annoying. i dont want to mess anything up and will be ripping it apart yet again. i have checked the engine mounts also and they are fine.

make sure you get your hammer ready and beat the fire wall up and the transmission tunnel up to give it alot of room. just my 2 cents...... lol... your welcome ill try to hit it harder next time....
