th400 / starter issue

So i am having issues with my car not starting. I have a TH400 trans (RMR adapter plate style) with full GM trans/bellhousing and a DaveH adapter setup.

most of the time when i turn the key to the start position, the starter will just click, like it gets to the flywheel then can't crank...

If i put on a charger on the car bammo, it fires right up... so you would think it is the battery... i replaced the battery, but still no dice. i replaced the starter next, but still getting the click.

any ideas? where is the starter relay located? this is frustrating....

Starter relay is located in the main fuse box under the hood. It sounds like your starter solenoid is going out on you. Try this, when you turn the key to start the car and it clicks, turn the key back and forth until the starter engages.

i just replaced the starter two days ago...

the problem is only happening when the car is hot/warmed up as well. i went out after it cooled down completely and it cranked up like a champ.
