I keep going back and forth on ideas for the supra, its either NA-t, or NA-TT swap, but i really dont know what i want to do. I guess my major concern is my current engine health, it is at 109k miles and will turn over 110 shortly if not before i take the car off insurance. Im going to have about a 5k budget, and just cant decide, either way im scared. NA-T id shoot for 400rwhp on low boost and a modest 450-500 on high(which i would not use alot haha), and im scared of the tranny. But then again im also scared of the engine and how much life is left. Next we have the TT swap, it wont nessecarly be as costly if i source my parts right, and get it profressonaly done, but again i will worry about the tranny once i pass BPU, so I guess what do yo u guys think? Should i just go na-t, and if the tranny fails go built auto? or what? IM really confused both expierenced guys on this forum help me out

There are pro and con on either one.

NA-T:
Pro=NA-T will get you 400rwhp for sure with $5k budget. Even 500rwhp is not out of question with race gas.

Con= it is far less desirable when you need to sell the car one day, you are highly unlikely to get your investment back, probably better off selling the kit separately, if I were a buyer I would rather have NA Supra with TT motor swap than a NA-T, just my true honest opinion.

TT Swap:
Pro: more desirable car overall, more parts available, less hassle from cops if you are in California.

Con: $5k will not be enough for the TT swap
Con: 280~290rwhp at the start, getting to 400rwhp will cost quite a bit more.

If I were in your position with $5k, I would throw in additional $2k and go with TT motor swap. Keep in mind I have NA-T, been there done that.
